The H2 records on Secure Digital (SD) media. It can handle up to a 16GB SD card; a 512MB SD card is included. You can record up to 24 hours using the 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV format, or 280 hours of stereo recording with the 128kbps MP3 format. You can also use the Zoom H2 as a USB mic if you would like to record directly to your computer. The Zoom H2 has is a time stamping function for reference during production.
The Zoom H2 has 4 mic capsules in a W-X/Y configuration which means you’ll have 360° recording. Audio is decoded instantly, so the four signals are merged together to provide unbeatable stereo imaging. You also have the options of recording from the front of the H2 in a 90° pickup pattern, or from the back in a 120° pickup pattern.
