The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Two Disc Special Edition

If you have a Twihard (a die-hard Twilight fan) on your Christmas list, you must buy The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Two-Disc Special Edition. This movie is the third installment of the blockbuster Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer.

The Twilight Saga is an international phenomenon.  The four books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn have all been blockbusters.  The movies have created such hype that in June of this year, Twihards camped out on the pavement (some for as long as a week) to see the red-carpet premiere of Eclipse at the Nokia Center in Los Angeles.  And it’s not just the pre-teen and teen-aged crowd who loves this movie.  There are plenty of adults who are addicted to the Twilight Saga.  There is no love like first love, before your heart has scarred over from previous wounds, and that is part of the universal appeal of this series.  It gives the viewer the chance to relive or experience all the joy and heartbreak of your first true love.

In Eclipse Bella is being hunted by the vampire Victoria.  Victoria’s mate, James, had captured Bella and was about to kill her when he was  killed by Edward and the Cullen clan in the first movie, Twilight.  Victoria creates an army of newborn vampires to help her exact her revenge on Edward by killing Bella…  A mate for a mate.  In order to have a fighting chance, the Cullen’s must work together with the Quileute Wolf Pack.  It is only Bella’s relationship with Jacob that can bring the two groups together.

Eclipse is by far the best of the Twilight movies to date.  This movie follows the plot line of it’s book better than the others.  And even though it is pretty apparent that Bella has made her choice, the dynamic between Edward and Jacob is well played.
