If you are looking for a great gift for your mom, or from any other older person looking to get or stay fit, then you will want to buy the Jane Fonda Prime Time Workout DVDs. Jane Fonda is 72, and she is out there promoting the message that aging well is predicated on being active. To that end, she has created two workout DVDs to get people who are aging moving. These workouts are targeted towards baby boomers and seniors. They are not for the twenty something crowd, but they are definitely worth it for the couch potato or older workout enthusiast. Recently, Jane Fonda was on the Oprah show promoting her new exercise DVD.
There are two titles in the series; these are: Jane Fonda’s Prime Time: Fit & Strong, and Jane Fonda’s Prime Time: Walkout. The Prime Time: Fit & Strong DVD gives the user two workouts to choose from, each of these are twenty-five minutes long. The workouts claim to tone and shape each major muscle group, improve core strength, and burn fat. There are also exercises which help to improve balance, a very important thing to work on as we age. The first workout on the DVD is a bit easier, the second workout is a bit more intense. So there is something for everyone. Jane encourages uses to get in the habit of doing these workouts daily so the user will look and feel his or her best.
The second video, Prime Time: Walkout provides users with two one-mile “walking” workouts. This DVD focuses on giving the user an aerobic workout. Since permanent weight loss is predicated on reducing calories and getting in a good aerobic workout, this workout is a “must-do.” Aerobic workouts also help to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. And according to Fonda, for people over 60 years old, regular aerobic exercise helps cut your risk of Alzheimer’s disease in half.
The Prime Time: Walkout workout has users walk a mile. The first of the two included workouts is slower, the second has the user workout at a faster pace. Working out to this DVD regularly will help to slim the waistline, improve brain function, and increase heart and lung health.
Either or both of these videos make a great gift for someone who is approaching their golden years and is interested in becoming more fit.
